Night light, mood lamp or projector: how to choose

Three families sit side by side in the Mood Lamps section: night lights, decorative lamps and projectors. Prices range from 16.90 to 99.90 CHF.

Silicone night lights (fox, axolotl, panda, rabbit, unicorn) switch on with a press or a tap and charge by USB. They suit a child's room, with an auto-off timer on several models. Decorative lamps, such as the 16-colour moon lamp, the glowing sakura tree or the galaxy crystal ball, give a soft light in the living room. Projectors (galaxy starry sky with remote, astronaut, aurora waves) draw patterns on the ceiling or wall.

To choose, think about the room, the age and the power source. For a child, a silicone night light rated from age 3 is the simplest. For a teenager, a projector or a moon lamp. For a living room, the sakura tree (USB or batteries). Check whether the device runs on USB, battery or batteries: this changes where it can go. The galaxy projector is used under adult supervision for children.
