Privacy policy
Last updated: 21 October 2026
1. Controller
The controller responsible for processing your data is Patapps, a sole proprietorship operating the Maneki Shop store, with its registered office in Switzerland. Contact: [email protected].
This policy has been drawn up in accordance with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP).
2. Data we process
- Order data: name, delivery address, email address, telephone number if you provide it, contents of the order.
- Payment data: payment is processed by Stripe. We neither receive nor store your card number.
- Technical data: IP address, type of device and browser, pages visited, recorded by our hosting provider to ensure the operation and security of the website.
- Correspondence: the messages you send us.
3. Purposes
We use your data to process and deliver your orders, respond to your requests, handle warranty claims and disputes, comply with our legal obligations (accounting, tax) and ensure the security of the website.
4. Recipients
- Suppliers and carriers: so that your parcel can be delivered to you, we pass your name, your delivery address and, where necessary, your telephone number to our logistics partners and their carriers. Some of these partners are based outside Switzerland, in particular in China.
- Stripe (payment) and Cloudflare (website hosting) and Resend (sending order emails), in particular in the United States.
- Meta Platforms (Facebook, Instagram: measuring and optimising our advertising) and PostHog (visit statistics, servers in the European Union), see section 5.
Some of these recipients are located in countries that do not offer the same level of data protection as Switzerland. We only pass on to them the data needed for delivery and payment.
5. Cookies and local storage
The website uses your browser's local storage to remember your preferences on this device: the contents of your basket, your favourites, the language you chose and the sound setting.
Audience measurement. We use PostHog (servers in the European Union) to know which pages and items are viewed, without recording your sessions. The data is pseudonymised and used only to improve the shop.
Advertising. We use the Meta pixel and the Conversions API of Meta Platforms (Ireland and United States) to measure how well our ads on Facebook and Instagram work: pages and items viewed, items added to the basket and purchases (amount and items). When you buy, we send Meta your email address, name, phone number, postcode and town in encrypted form (hashed), together with your IP address and browser, so that Meta can match the purchase to an ad you saw. Meta is responsible for its own processing (see its privacy policy).
Where your visit comes from. If you arrive from an ad or a link, we keep the parameters of that link (for example utm_source) on your device for 30 days and attach them to your order, to know which ads work.
Objection. You can object to this measurement: block third-party cookies or use a blocker in your browser, adjust your ad preferences in your Facebook or Instagram account, or write to us so that we do not send your order data to Meta.
6. Retention period
We keep order data for as long as necessary to manage the order and the warranty, then for the statutory retention period for accounting records (ten years). Other data is deleted when it is no longer needed.
7. Your rights
You may request access to your data, its rectification or erasure, object to processing or request that your data be handed over to you, within the limits of the law. Write to us at [email protected]. You may also contact the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).
8. Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data.
9. Changes
We may amend this policy. The version in force is the one published on this page.
